Her career took off in the dynamic 1980s in the Department of Arts and Crafts at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, and later continued her education at the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, focusing on lacquer painting. Eager to expand her artistic horizons, she traveled to Japan to delve into lacquer art techniques, which significantly influenced her style. A subsequent journey to the United States further broadened her artistic perspective, as the influences of abstract expressionism intertwined with her Chinese roots.
